Our Story
CCNY was created to help organizations work better by working smarter.
From 2001-2004, our executive director and founder, Heidi Milch, LMSW, was running a federally funded grant program for pregnant teenagers. She realized that the program and countless others like it were collecting troves of data but generating hardly any analysis—and even less insight on how to improve outcomes for their clients.
Recognizing that the information gathered by nonprofits could be used to help so many, Heidi worked with the Erie County Department of Mental Health and New View Alliance (formerly New Directions and Gateway-Longview) to form a new organization focused on building capacity through modern data approaches. CCNY brings together brilliant people with diverse professional backgrounds and experiences who are motivated by the same goal: to solve that problem for everyone.
We’re driven to understand exactly what our clients need to make an even greater impact on the communities that they serve—on their terms.

Why Work With Us.
We approach things differently. Rather than rushing through a challenge, we take the time to understand every aspect of it from your point of view. Once we have that foundation, we’ll work together to develop and implement a solution that addresses what’s really going on. Because the way to build something that lasts is from the ground up.
Who We Work With.
We use our extensive experience and proven expertise in behavioral health and human services, child welfare, juvenile justice, systems of care, and technology development to develop solutions for the following types of organizations:
- Behavioral Health Organizations
- Foundations
- Government
- Health and Human Service Organizations
- Nonprofits
- Private Sector
- Program Partners

We’ll find your solution together.
Share your challenge.
Linking information, insights, and impact starts with getting connected. Contact CCNY to get started.
